Ògbójú Ọdẹ nínú Igbó Irúnmalẹ̀ (The Forest of a Thousand Demons - A Brave Hunter in the Forest of Demons.) is written by D.O. Fagunwa in 1938 . It was the first full-length novel inYoruba and was one of the first novels to be written in any African language. It contains the picaresque tales of a Yoruba hunter whose name is Akara-ogun (Compound-of-spells) and one of the formidable hunters of a bygone age, who encountered folklore elements, such as magic, monsters, spirits, and gods.
